#WorshipWednesdays

Here is this week’s devotional & playlist from our Worship & Internationals Minister, Meredith Palicte:

There’s a book I’ve been reading to Kainoa lately called “Holy Week” and it goes through the emotions that Jesus experienced in the week leading up to his crucifixion and resurrection. Sometimes it’s easy for me to get so caught up in the excitement of Easter that I easily forget the sorrow, betrayal, loneliness, and painful sacrifice that led up to that monumental moment when Christ rose from the dead. So as we ponder the events of Holy Week, I’ve created two playlists for us: one for Holy Week (that focuses on the sacrifice and death of Jesus); and one for Easter (which celebrates the resurrection). They are lengthy because there are simply so many good songs that lead us to worship! I like to have these playlists on in the background while I’m cooking or cleaning or simply while we are sitting around the house together. I hope that these songs lead you to ponder the full range of emotions that our Lord experienced throughout the Holy Week and that singing along will prepare us to worship Him on Easter!
